About LED Lights Canada

Canadian LED lighting innovator with strong culture

Full Description

We are seeking an independent, creative, and data-driven Junior Digital Marketing Specialist to sharpen our digital presence and drive multi-channel brand growth.

Role Overview

Reporting directly to and with guidance from the Owner/CEO, you will serve as the architect of our digital footprint and print marketing collateral. In this role, you will balance hands-on creative production with data-driven campaign management to translate technical lighting specifications into compelling visual stories, high-converting digital campaigns, optimized web experiences, and polished sales materials.

Key Responsibilities

  • Digital Marketing & Paid Ads: Plan, execute, and monitor end-to-end SEM (Google Ads) and paid social (Meta Ads) campaigns. Continuously conduct A/B testing, manage ad spend, and optimize for conversion and lead generation.
  • Website Management & SEO: Maintain and optimize our CMS (WordPress / Shopify). Execute on-page SEO, keyword updates, and landing page UX (user experience) enhancements to improve organic search visibility and user conversion.
  • Creative Content & Brand Collateral: Design high-performance visual assets for digital, social, and print using Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) and Canva. Maintain a modern, cohesive brand identity across product catalogs, spec sheets, and buy sheets.
  • Email Marketing: Build, segment, and automate targeted email campaigns and monthly newsletters via Mailchimp to engage contractors, B2B, and consumer databases.
  • Social Media Strategy: Create and publish value-driven content—including short-form video and educational posts—on Facebook and Instagram to position the company as an industry authority.
  • Project Management & Workflow: Manage multiple concurrent initiatives from concept through final delivery, establishing realistic timelines and meeting key milestones.
  • Analytics & Performance Reporting: Track and report on core Key Performance Indicators using Google Analytics (GA4) and CRM data, translating traffic patterns and campaign metrics into actionable insights for leadership.

Qualifications & Experience

  • 2+ years of hands-on experience in digital marketing, campaign management, or multi-channel content creation preferred.
  • Recent graduate or final-year student completing a Diploma or Degree in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, or a related field (e.g., NAIT, MacEwan, University of Alberta, NorQuest).
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience through practicums, internships, capstone projects, freelance work, or student club marketing.
  • Please provide a link to a portfolio, coursework samples, or past project mockups showing design (Adobe/Canva) and writing capability (required).

Education

  • Post-secondary Degree or Diploma in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, Business, or equivalent practical experience.

Technical and Software Proficiency

  • Professional working proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) and Canva.
  • Hands-on CMS experience managing and updating websites (WordPress and/or Shopify).
  • Direct experience managing campaigns in Google Ads and Meta Ads Manager.
  • Working knowledge of Google Analytics (GA4), SEO best practices, and Mailchimp.

Core Competencies:

  • Strong Copywriting: Ability to translate technical, industry-specific data into clear, persuasive, customer-friendly messaging.
  • Grounded Independence: High self-motivation and confidence to own deliverables while maintaining alignment with the owner's strategic vision.
  • Organization & Communication: Excellent project planning, clear cross-functional communication, and strong interpersonal skills.

Bonus Qualifications (Nice-to-Have)

  • Experience in the lighting, electrical, wholesale, or construction sectors.
  • Familiarity with short-form video editing and AI-assisted content workflow tools.
  • Working knowledge of CRM tools and project management platforms (e.g., Asana, Monday.com).

Benefits & Perks

  • Part-Time Benefits Package: Dental care, Vision care, and a dedicated Wellness program.
  • Work-Life Balance: Structured Monday–Friday daytime hours with zero weekend or evening shifts.
  • Team Culture: We are a collaborative, values-driven environment where your work directly impacts business growth.
  • Company Events: Opportunities to connect and engage with the team.
