THE ROLE: Accounting Co-op Student (8 month term)
CO-OP TERM: May - Dec, 2026
THE LOCATION: Calgary, AB
In this role, you will support the day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping functions of Showpass. This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside and learn from experienced team members and gain hands-on experience across multiple areas of finance and accounting.
THE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Process weekly payouts and advances to event organizers (clients)
- Create and distribute weekly and monthly reports for clients
- Assist with generating client donation payment reports monthly
- Assist with maintaining client records for donations
- Assist with the reconciliation of employee credit card transactions in Float
- Maintain accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Assist with day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting tasks using QuickBooks Online Advanced
- Support ad hoc tasks and basic financial analysis as needed
THE QUALIFICATIONS:
- Working toward certificate or degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance or a related field
- 1 year of experience in accounting administration/bookkeeping is an asset
- Strong proficiency in AI tools and technology
- Strong multitasking skills with the ability to manage various priorities and tight deadlines
- Experience with QuickBooks Online Advanced is an asset
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and care
- High level of accuracy and meticulous attention to detail
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex information clearly
- Excitement about implementing operational improvements and automation to enhance efficiency
