Accounting Summer Student

Our Mowi Canada West operations are located on the coast of beautiful British Columbia and Vancouver Island where we work in partnership with the First Nation communities within whose territories we operate. Our team of over 300+ dedicated farmers and processors is committed to producing sustainable farm-raised Atlantic salmon, contributing to food security for our growing global population.

We are pleased to offer a temporary Summer Student / Co-op opportunity within our Finance team from May through to the end of August (approximately 16 weeks in length).

This role provides valuable, hands-on experience in management accounting, allowing you to apply and further develop your knowledge of finance and accounting principles in a practical business environment. You will work closely with our management accounting team and gain meaningful exposure to real-world financial processes, analysis, and reporting.

Reporting directly to the Accounting Manager, you will be based at our Campbell River office. This position is designed to provide practical experience, professional development, and insight into corporate finance operations.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated student seeking practical experience in finance within a dynamic team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the management accounting team with the annual budgeting process
• Support the preparation and distribution of monthly variance analysis
• Assist with accounts payable process
• Assist in monthly reconciliations
• Provide administrative and other ad hoc finance-related support

The successful candidate will be currently enrolled in a recognized post-secondary program in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Wage: $25.61 per hour
