As a Finance & Accounting Co-op Student, you will be an integral part of a collaborative Finance team focused on delivering accurate, timely, and insightful financial support to our programs and services. Term: May to December

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoice processing and payment tracking
  • Support month-end and year-end close activities
  • Prepare journal entries and assist with account reconciliations
  • Help maintain general ledger accuracy and supporting documentation
  • Assist with financial reporting and variance analysis
  • Compile financial data and generate reports for internal stakeholders
  • Maintain organized financial records in accordance with policies and procedures
  • Provide administrative and project support to the Finance team

What We’re Looking For

  • Enrolment in full-time post-secondary studies in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or Business Administration (with a focus in Accounting/Finance)
  • Strong interest in financial reporting, accounting principles, and data analysis
  • Basic understanding of accounting concepts (debits/credits, reconciliations, financial statements)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, formulas, data analysis skills considered an asset)
  • Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage confidential financial information with discretion and professionalism
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Experience with accounting or ERP systems is considered an asset
