Job Overview
We are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Summer Student Accounts Payable for a four (4) month term from May-August. This position will be based in Cold Lake, Alberta. This role offers valuable exposure to day-to-day accounting operations and the opportunity to strengthen your technical and analytical skills in a professional accounting environment.
Responsibilities
- Record, reconcile and analyze accounting transactions including accounts payable and general entries.
- Assist with financial reporting.
- Conduct financial modeling and analysis.
- Analysis and reporting of performance metrics.
- Verify vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions.
- Support Ad-hoc project as required.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program in accounting and returning to school in the Fall
- Experience with SAGE accounting or other accounting systems is considered a strong asset
- Ability to complete and review financial models and data analysis
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite with advanced skill in Excel
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Proactive, team-oriented attitude with the ability to work independently
- Excellent time-management skills to prioritize and meet tight deadlines
- Preferably from Cold Lake area with reliable transportation
- Must pass pre-employment drug and alcohol test including cannabis
