Job Overview

We are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Summer Student Accounts Payable for a four (4) month term from May-August. This position will be based in Cold Lake, Alberta. This role offers valuable exposure to day-to-day accounting operations and the opportunity to strengthen your technical and analytical skills in a professional accounting environment.

Responsibilities

• Record, reconcile and analyze accounting transactions including accounts payable and general entries.
• Assist with financial reporting.
• Conduct financial modeling and analysis.
• Analysis and reporting of performance metrics.
• Verify vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions.
• Support Ad-hoc project as required.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program in accounting and returning to school in the Fall
• Experience with SAGE accounting or other accounting systems is considered a strong asset
• Ability to complete and review financial models and data analysis
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite with advanced skill in Excel
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Proactive, team-oriented attitude with the ability to work independently
• Excellent time-management skills to prioritize and meet tight deadlines
• Preferably from Cold Lake area with reliable transportation
• Must pass pre-employment drug and alcohol test including cannabis
