CIVIL ENGINEER IN TRAINING (EIT)

Valdor Engineering Inc. is a well established privately owned consulting firm specializing in civil and water resources engineering. We provide services to both the private and public sectors. Our projects include municipal infrastructure, water resources, land development and site development (industrial, commercial, institutional & multi-unit residential).

We are currently seeking candidates for our Woodbridge Office for the position of Civil Engineering In Training (EIT) for graduates with a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university to support our growing client base in the area.

Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be contributing to our team by assisting our engineers in the preparation of the following:

· Developing preliminary designs and prepare functional servicing reports.

· Detailed engineering designs for storm and sanitary sewers, watermains and roads.

· Grading designs and modelling of earthworks volumes.

· Stormwater management reports.

· Construction cost estimates, specifications and tender documents.

· Liaising with other design disciplines on the project team.

· Comprehensive submissions to review agencies.

Qualifications:

· Working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D.

· Must be self motivated and have a team approach.

· Strong technical writing skills and excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

· Co-Op or Summer Intern experience with a civil consulting engineering firm.
