Salary Range: $27.40 plus Vacation and Holiday Pay

Position Summary

We are seeking a motivated post-secondary student currently enrolled in an Accounting or Finance program to support our Corporate Finance team. This position offers hands-on experience working with financial data, preparing schedules and working papers, and exploring the practical application of emerging AI tools in a real-world accounting environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in analyzing financial data, trends, and variances to support internal reporting and decision making.
  • Prepare schedules, reconciliations, and working papers.
  • Support period end processes and compliance filings by gathering information, validating data, and updating templates.
  • Help develop and use AI (e.g., Microsoft 365 Copilot) to improve efficiency and enhance analytical insights.
  • Participate in small projects related to process improvement, data quality, and digitization of financial workflows

Qualifications

  • Enrolled in a post-secondary program in Accounting, Finance or Business. Candidates in an IT field with strong AI skills and interest in finance will also be considered.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and comfortable working with large datasets.
  • Interest in technology, automation, and the use of AI in accounting.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
