The Role
For this expression of interest (EOI), we are currently seeking an Electrical Engineer-in-Training (EIT) to support the design and delivery of overhead and underground electrical distribution infrastructure projects. This role provides strong exposure to engineering design, field work, and multidisciplinary collaboration early in your career.
RAM Consulting is proud to be an EGBC Accredited Employer. Through this program, EITs receive structured mentorship, clear competency development, and guidance from experienced Professional Engineers to support progression toward P.Eng. designation. Engineers at RAM gain exposure to real projects, practical design work, and construction support while building the experience required for professional registration.
This role is particularly well suited for a recent graduate or early-career engineer looking to develop strong technical foundations and learn directly from experienced engineers working on real infrastructure projects.

- Applying relevant utility standards, CSA and IEEE codes, and regulatory requirements
- Assisting with technical documentation including specifications, reports, and tender packages
- Supporting construction activities by coordinating with contractors, engineers, and project teams to resolve field issues
- Participating in site visits and field inspections to gather data and verify design feasibility
- Assisting with as-built drawings, final calculations, and project close-out documentation
- Collaborating with civil, structural, and environmental teams to integrate electrical systems into project designs
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited program
- EIT designation or eligibility for registration with Engineers and Geoscientists BC (EGBC) or APEGA
- Strong understanding of electrical engineering fundamentals including power systems and control systems
- Experience with CAD software for electrical design (AutoCAD or Revit; MicroStation considered an asset)
- Familiarity with electrical analysis tools such as ETAP or SKM Power Tools is an asset
- Strong analytical, communication, and teamwork skills with a proactive approach to learning
