Job Title: Entry-Level Staff Accountant, CPA Student, CPA Co-Op Student

Full-time or Part-time

About Us:

We are a rapidly expanding Chartered Professional Accounting (CPA) firm located in Vancouver’s prestigious Kerrisdale area. We pride ourselves in the quality of services we offer to each and every one of our clients. Our firm specializes in audit, review, and compilation services for owner-managed businesses. We also handle personal, corporate, and trust tax returns for numerous clients. The successful candidate will have extensive exposure to assist our senior staff members in providing top-quality bookkeeping and accounting services to our clients.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a motivated entry-level staff accountant to join our team and gain valuable real-world experience in accounting and taxation. This position is ideal for someone interested in applying their academic knowledge in a professional environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform basic bookkeeping using QuickBooks and reconciliation using Excel worksheet

  • Prepare compilation of year-end financial statements and related working papers

  • Prepare corporate, personal, and trust tax returns

  • Handle CRA correspondences and notices

  • Provide administrative support, including fielding phone calls, typing correspondences, managing mailings, and delivering documents, within the Lower Mainland

Requirements:

  • Completion of advanced accounting courses or a university degree

  • Fluency in English and Cantonese is required

  • Flexibility to work overtime during our busy seasons (March, April and June)

  • Proficiency in using QuickBooks, Caseware, and TaxProfile is desirable

  • Ability to travel to clients’ offices as needed
