Environmental Specialist (CGY,EDM,GP) - Jr/Intermediate REC/REM

Base Land and Environmental Ltd. is currently seeking a Junior to Intermediate Environmental Specialist to join our Team in Alberta. Reporting to the Project Manager, the successful candidate will be provided the opportunity to work on challenging and diverse projects across western Canada with a wide range of complexity.

Qualifications

• 1 - 3+ years of relevant contaminated sites and environmental consulting experience;
• B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree in Environmental engineering, Chemistry, Geology, and environmental sciences;
• Professional designation (i.e., PGeo, APEGA, AIA, PChem, or PAg) or eligible to apply;
• Experienced with working knowledge of Alberta Environment and BC contaminated soil Criteria and Guidelines
• Experienced in conducting Environmental Site Assessment (ESA) Phases 1,2 & 3 and reporting
• Experience in Upstream Oil and Gas remediation and reclamation
• Experience conducting Contaminated soil sampling.
• Proficiency in imagery interpretation to delineate contaminated sites in Alberta and BC.
• Legally entitled to work in Canada;
• Strong, demonstrated technical written and oral communication skills are a requirement;
• Basic GIS skills and understanding;
• A valid driver's license (minimum Class 5)
• Develop and contribute to project proposals and budgets;
• Interact with clients, staff, and regulatory agencies; and
• Implement corporate and client safety programs.
