Role Overview

We are looking for a motivated Hardware and Embedded Systems Intern to support the assembly, preparation, configuration, and testing of our hardware products, including the Lytbot disinfection robot and the Feedbick IoT device.

This role bridges hardware and software, providing hands on exposure to embedded systems in a production setting. The position involves supporting mechanical and electronic assembly, loading and validating firmware, configuring devices, assisting with debugging, and documenting test results. The intern will work closely with both hardware and software team members to support ongoing production operations.

This is an on-site role requiring working from office 5 days a week.

Key Responsibilities

โ€ข Support mechanical and electronic assembly for Lytbot and Feedbick

โ€ข Upload and validate firmware on embedded devices

โ€ข Assist with device configuration and system bring up

โ€ข Perform functional testing and document results

โ€ข Support basic debugging of hardware and firmware issues

โ€ข Maintain organized parts inventory and production records

โ€ข Follow structured assembly and testing procedures

โ€ข Collaborate with engineering team members to resolve technical issues

Requirements

โ€ข Currently pursuing or recently completed studies in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field

โ€ข Basic programming knowledge in C or C++

โ€ข Familiarity with Linux environments

โ€ข Understanding of Git based version control workflows is an asset

โ€ข Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn

โ€ข Ability to follow structured testing and assembly instructions

โ€ข Reliable, positive attitude, and team oriented

Education

Currently enrolled in or recently completed a diploma or degree in a relevant technical field.

Experience

Academic projects or professional experience involving embedded systems, firmware, Linux, or hardware troubleshooting are considered an asset. Junior applicants are encouraged to apply. Training will be provided.
