Role Overview
We are looking for a motivated Hardware and Embedded Systems Intern to support the assembly, preparation, configuration, and testing of our hardware products, including the Lytbot disinfection robot and the Feedbick IoT device.
This role bridges hardware and software, providing hands on exposure to embedded systems in a production setting. The position involves supporting mechanical and electronic assembly, loading and validating firmware, configuring devices, assisting with debugging, and documenting test results. The intern will work closely with both hardware and software team members to support ongoing production operations.
This is an on-site role requiring working from office 5 days a week.
Key Responsibilities
โข Support mechanical and electronic assembly for Lytbot and Feedbick
โข Upload and validate firmware on embedded devices
โข Assist with device configuration and system bring up
โข Perform functional testing and document results
โข Support basic debugging of hardware and firmware issues
โข Maintain organized parts inventory and production records
โข Follow structured assembly and testing procedures
โข Collaborate with engineering team members to resolve technical issues
Requirements
โข Currently pursuing or recently completed studies in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
โข Basic programming knowledge in C or C++
โข Familiarity with Linux environments
โข Understanding of Git based version control workflows is an asset
โข Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
โข Ability to follow structured testing and assembly instructions
โข Reliable, positive attitude, and team oriented
Education
Currently enrolled in or recently completed a diploma or degree in a relevant technical field.
Experience
Academic projects or professional experience involving embedded systems, firmware, Linux, or hardware troubleshooting are considered an asset. Junior applicants are encouraged to apply. Training will be provided.
