As knowledge and proficiency increase, responsibilities will expand to include:

  • Supporting day-to-day HR administration activities, including employment documentation, onboarding packages, and employee file maintenance.
  • Maintaining accurate employee data in Workday and internal tracking tools.
  • Assisting with HR reporting and recruitment metrics.
  • Preparing standard employment letters and HR documentation.
  • Ensuring strict confidentiality and accuracy in all employee data handling.

The goal is for the Co-op to build strong foundational HR operational knowledge and systems proficiency.

Talent, Training & Emerging Programs

With exposure and guidance, the Co-op will be involved in:

  • Coordinating training sessions and learning initiatives.
  • Tracking and recording training completion in the HRIS.
  • Supporting administrative aspects of performance management cycles.
  • Assisting with early-career and emerging talent initiatives.

  • Assisting with coordination of engagement initiatives and internal communications.
  • Supporting culture-building and employee experience activities.
  • Contributing ideas to enhance employee engagement efforts.

HR Projects & Special Initiatives

As the internship progresses, the individual will be increasingly involved in:

  • Supporting HR special projects such as diversity initiatives, talent management programs, retention initiatives, and workforce planning exercises.
  • Assisting in the development and refinement of HR templates, trackers, and process documentation.
  • Supporting HR audits and compliance reviews.

Compliance & Policy Support

  • Assisting in maintaining compliance with employment legislation and internal policies.
  • Supporting documentation and reporting requirements related to HR governance and compliance.
