Position : Human Resources Assistant

Employment Type: Internship / Entry-Level

Schedule: Part-Time during academic term; Full-Time upon graduation May 2026

About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Human Resources Assistant to support our HR team with administrative tasks and recruitment activities. This role is ideal for a student in their final year or a recent graduate who is looking to gain hands-on gain hands-on experience across core HR functions. The role may begin on a part-time basis during the academic term and transition to full-time upon completion of studies, subject to graduating in 2026.

Key Responsibilities

HR Administration

  • Maintain employee records, files, and HR databases
  • Support with workers compensation paperwork
  • Assist with onboarding and offboarding processes
  • Draft offer letters, HR documents
  • Support with drafting HR policies, employee handbook
  • Support payroll preparation by collecting, verifying, and entering employee data
  • Assist with time and attendance tracking and reporting

Recruitment Support

  • Assist with posting job openings
  • Screen resumes, schedule interviews and communicate with candidates
  • Assist with reference checks and offer documentation
  • Track and manage REQs and support a positive candidate experience

General Support

  • Respond to basic employee inquiries and escalate as appropriate
  • Support HR projects, audits, and initiatives as assigned
  • Assist with company events

What we are looking for

  • Recent grad or currently enrolled in the final year of a diploma or degree program in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field;
  • Previous HR internship, co-op (an asset)
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Interest in HR, Payroll & Recruitment
