We are seeking a highly motivated Investment Banking Analyst Intern to support our advisory team. This position is ideal for candidates pursuing careers in investment banking, private equity, corporate development, or strategic finance.
About The Fairing Group
The Fairing Group is an independent investment bank focused on mergers and acquisitions (M&A) advisory for North American middle-market corporations. Based in Toronto, the firm provides buy-side and sell-side M&A advisory and execution services to independent businesses and private equity firms (both fund and platform levels), helping structure and execute transactions that unlock value.
Collectively, our team has advised on mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and capital raises exceeding $400 million across a range of industries.
As a growing firm, we offer the opportunity to contribute meaningfully while experiencing the entrepreneurial culture of an independent advisor.
Program Overview
This internship is designed for students ideally in the final two (2) years of their undergraduate studies. The intern will participate in an initial orientation and training program before joining senior bankers on active and prospective advisory assignments. The objective is to provide meaningful exposure to live deals and client initiatives while building a strong foundation in financial analysis and transaction execution.
The intern will support the deal team on both buy-side and sell-side mandates, as well as other advisory assignments, through responsibilities such as compiling industry research, developing presentations, conducting target screening and identification, and performing financial modeling.
While expected to bring a foundational level of technical proficiency, the intern will receive training in research, presentation design, market mapping, and financial modeling. The intern will be paired with senior bankers who will act as mentors, providing direct feedback and guidance.
As an industry-agnostic investment bank, the intern will gain exposure to a wide range of industries.
