We’re seeking a knowledgeable and motivated professional to join our company as a Jr. Accountant and help shape the future of roofing and sustainable energy solutions.

Position Overview:

The Jr. Accountant supports the integrity of Penfolds’ financial operations by managing the full accounts payable cycle, ensuring sales tax compliance, and performing project cost analysis. This role is key to streamlining financial processes and supporting monthly closing duties to ensure accurate reporting and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and process urgent requests and distribute documents for approval
• Match and post job invoices to purchase orders from multiple departments
• Calculate and verify sales tax collection and remittance
• Perform payment runs and enter employee expense forms
• Ensure all vendor statements are received, reconciled and processed
• Financial Statement Variance analysis and project cost allocation
• Improve accounts payable processes through conducting and reviewing both weekly and monthly duties
• Run quick cheques, as needed
• Other Tasks as assigned

What you bring:

• Business Degree or Diploma
• Knowledge of sales tax regulation and compliance
• Relevant work experience considered an asset
• Strong English speaking and writing skills
• Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment
• Effective problem solver
• Computer literacy
• Experience using accounting software
