With manufacturing facilities in Toronto Ontario, Maxxit specializes in design assist, project management, and fabrication of innovative interior and exterior architectural solutions.

ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY

Maxxit is seeking a Full Time Junior Manufacturing Engineer to join our dynamic production team. In this role, you will support manufacturing operations by producing technical documentation, designing tooling and fixtures, programming CNC equipment, and working directly with the shop floor to improve processes and efficiency.

COMPENSATION

The annual compensation range for this position is $55,180 to $70,880 per year commiserate upon experience.

VACANCY STATUS AND LOCATION

This position is a current position at Maxxit System Inc.

This role will require 5 days per week on site at the Toronto office located at 1000 Martin Grove Rd, Toronto, Ontario, M9W 4V8.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Produce detailed documentation packages to support manufacturing processes.
  • Create and modify mechanical drawings and BOMs for production release.
  • Design and document jigs, fixtures, tooling, and simple equipment improvements.
  • Translate solid models into process code for CNC Lasers and Punch Presses.
  • Work closely with the assembly team to identify and troubleshoot issues, find root causes, and recommend design or process improvements.
  • Collaborate with external vendors to source materials, tools, and services to support manufacturing.
  • Participate actively in Quality Reviews and Engineering Milestone meetings to provide manufacturing input from a design for manufacturing and assembly perspective.
  • Maintain a strong presence on the shop floor, staying engaged with production activities and needs.
  • Follow all safety protocols and company regulations.
  • Stay calm and effective during high-pressure situations where quick problem-solving is required.

REQUIREMENTS

  • 2–4 years of experience in a manufacturing, design, or engineering environment (preferably in assembly or sheet metal fabrication).
  • Proficiency with SolidWorks and reading/interpreting mechanical blueprints.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes including Lasers, Punch Presses, Press Brakes, Welding, and basic Machining.
  • Familiarity with CNC programming for manufacturing equipment.
  • Proven ability to design and modify parts to meet urgent production needs.
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
  • Experience in packaging design and development is an asset
