Job description
The Junior Accountant will assist in managing the day-to-day financial operations of the organization, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities. The successful candidate will have a strong foundation in accounting principles and practices, as well as experience working in the food and beverage industry.
Summary of Key Responsibilities
- Assist with daily accounting tasks, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger and bank reconciliations.
- Daily deposits and sales reconciliation for multi-unit network.
- Support month-end and year-end close processes, general ledger reconciliation, journal entries and monthly accruals.
- Balance Sheet reconciliations and review.
- Assist accurate financial records and documentation in accordance with company policies.
- Assist with tax and audit preparation as needed.
- Perform ad hoc analysis and other duties as assigned by the finance team.
Qualifications:
- Degree or diploma in Accounting required
- Minimum 2 years working experience in accounting preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills both in English and Mandarin/Cantonese
- Computer literate, including effective working skills of MS Excel and E-mail
- Able to work well under pressure and meet assigned deadlines
- Good organizational, time management and prioritizing skills
- Detail oriented and organized in all areas of work
- QuickBooks and ERP experience is an asset
- Maintains a high level of integrity and works independently
