The Role
We are seeking a Junior Accountant to join our dynamic team, with a strong focus on general accounting support and day-to-day financial operations. This role offers an excellent opportunity to learn and grow within a fast-paced, client-focused environment while building a solid foundation in accounting practices.
In this on-site position, you’ll work closely with the accounting team, supporting core accounting functions such as invoicing, reconciliations, data entry, and financial reporting. Responsibilities
Reporting to the Financial Controller, the individual will provide support to the accounting team to meet operational and reporting deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:
General Accounting Support:
- Assist with daily accounting transactions, including data entry and journal entries.
- Support month-end and year-end close processes.
- Maintain accurate and organized financial records.
Accounts Receivable:
- Assist with issuing invoices for flights, maintenance work orders, and other services.
- Support collections and follow up on outstanding balances as needed.
- Help prepare AR reports and assist with reconciling discrepancies.
Accounts Payable & Reconciliations:
- Assist with processing vendor invoices and expense reports.
- Reconcile bank and credit card accounts, including multi-currency transactions.
- Validate financial transactions to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Financial Reporting:
- Assist in preparing monthly financial reports for managed aircraft and operations.
- Support variance analysis and reporting under the guidance of senior team members.
Operational Support:
- Assist with tracking fuel costs and other operational expenses.
- Prepare basic weekly and monthly cost summaries.

Provide support with ad-hoc accounting and administrative tasks as required.

Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned.
Who You Are
- 1+ years of accounting experience
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, math, or a related field
- Expert knowledge of basic accounting principles and financial reporting
- Experience in AR and project/job costing is highly desirable.
- Highly detail-oriented and organized
- Ability to meet tight deadlines
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
- Working knowledge of Sage 50 or Simply Accounting preferred
- Self-motivated with a desire to continually learn and grow
- Eligible status to work in Canada
