Job Summary
As our Jr. Accountant, you’ll play a key role in supporting the financial operations that keep CTK Bio running smoothly. You’ll help maintain accurate financial records, process transactions, and assist with budgeting and reporting—all while contributing to our mission to create a cleaner, greener future.
In this role, you’ll work closely with cross-functional teams, ensure timely and accurate financial documentation, assist with reconciliations, and help maintain compliance with company policies and accounting standards. Your attention to detail and proactive approach will help keep projects and operations on track.
Key Responsibilities
· Process and record financial transactions, including invoices, payments, and receipts.
· Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.
· Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and ledgers.
· Prepare reconciliations of bank statements, supplier accounts, and internal records.
· Support budget tracking, cost analysis, and expense reporting.
· Assist in month-end and year-end financial reporting.
· Collaborate with internal teams to gather financial data and support operational decision-making.
· Ensure all accounting activities comply with company policies, accounting standards, and regulations.
· Help identify opportunities for process improvements in financial operations.
Qualifications:
· Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
· 1–3 years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or finance (experience in manufacturing or operations support is a plus).
· Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); experience with accounting software or ERP systems is an asset.
· Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
· Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
· Good communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
· Knowledge of basic accounting principles, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
· Problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach to financial issues.
In addition to the above requirements, a junior accountant may also have:
· Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in handling financial data.
· Solid analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
· Effective communication skills with supervisors and team members.
· Ability to manage time well and handle multiple tasks.
· Legally eligible to work full-time in Canada.
