Denciti Development Corp. is seeking a Junior Accountant to join our finance team. This is a full-time, in-office position based in our Downtown Vancouver office, offering strong potential for growth and advancement.

In this role, you will support day-to-day financial operations, including full-cycle accounts payable and general bookkeeping functions. From invoice processing and vendor setup to bank and general ledger reconciliations, you will play a key role in ensuring smooth and reliable financial processes while working closely with internal teams and external partners.
Duties
Accounts Payable
- Receive, sort, and enter invoices and supporting documents into accounting software
- Review and enter employee expense claims
- Maintain vendor database and communication
- Prepare payment reports and monthly payment runs
- Support improvements in processes and systems
Bookkeeping
- Prepare journal entries
- Assist in maintaining supporting schedules to financial statements
- Prepare monthly bank reconciliations
- Maintain intercompany invoices
- Assist in monthly GST filing and payments Manage cheque deposits
- Assist with month end and year end duties
- Assist with preparation of audit information and support
- File and maintain financial documents
- Handle special projects, responsibilities and other duties as assigned by management
Requirements
- Basic experience in accounts payable and bookkeeping, ideally with 0-1 years of experience
- Bachelorβs or Diploma degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. CPA candidate or interest in pursuing the CPA designation is preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)
- Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy
- Strong numerical aptitude and efficient data entry skills
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks with competing deadlines
- Ability to interact regularly with staff and management to provide or obtain information
- High level of professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality
- Strong decision-making, communication (written and verbal), and analytical skills
- Organized self-starter with the ability to work independently
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to contribute effectively within a team environment
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary Range of $45,000 - $55,000 (commensurate with experience), plus discretionary bonus
