Position: Junior Accountant Intern
Department: Finance and Settlements
Location: Toronto, ON (On-Site)
Wage: $20/hour
Job Type & Duration: Internship
Note: This is a supervised, entry-level student placement designed to provide practical accounting experience.

The Junior Accountant will support the accounting team with day-to-day financial operations, focusing primarily on bookkeeping and financial record maintenance. This role provides hands-on experience in core accounting functions and exposure to real-world financial processes.
What You Will Do
- Recording financial transactions and maintaining accurate bookkeeping records
- Assisting with accounts payable and accounts receivable processing
- Performing bank and account reconciliations
- Updating and maintaining the general ledger
- Assisting with the preparation of financial statements and reports
- Supporting month-end closing procedures
- Organizing financial documents and ensuring data accuracy
- Using accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Excel) for data entry and analysis
What You Will Bring
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree/diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and bookkeeping practices
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or similar)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Good communication and time management abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Nice to have:
- Previous internship or part-time experience in accounting or bookkeeping
- Familiarity with financial reporting and reconciliation processes
Work Environment:
- Internship or entry-level position
