Junior Accountant - Internal Posting

TRIO is looking for a Junior Accountant to join our Finance team. Reporting to the Corporate Controller this position will be home-based in Canada .

Responsibilities

• Performing bank account reconciliations, including accounts with multi currency transactions
• Preparing and posting journal entries, including foreign exchange gains and losses
• Reviewing, verifying, and posting employee expense reimbursements through Concur
• Ensuring accuracy and compliance of expense reimbursement journal entries
• Preparing payment reports and supporting internal and external reporting requirements
• Assisting with the preparation of quarterly per patient cost reimbursements
• Completing balance sheet account reconciliations on a regular basis
• Code, total, batch, enter, verify, and reconcile accounts payable invoices for electronic payment
• Post journal entries and reconcile payable and expense accounts
• Data entry as needed, including journal vouchers and bank transactions
• Act as an understudy for the accounts payable clerk
• Other ad-hoc reports as requested by management

Qualifications

• Diploma in Accounting/Business/Commerce
• Combinationof education and experience will be considered
• Basic understanding of accounting principles
• Intermediate level knowledge of accounting systems
• Demonstrate attention to detail, accuracy and thoroughness
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Good computer skills (Intermediate to advanced Excel)

Pay Range: $55,000.00 to $65,000.00 - Salary to be influenced (or determined) by the education, experience, location, knowledge, skills, abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
