We're looking for enthusiastic, motivated individuals to join our client’s team as a Junior Accountant in Thorold, ON !

In this full-time, permanent role, you’ll help our client with their Accounting needs.

What You’ll Do:

  • Assist in executing the month-end close process by preparing account reconciliations and reviewing variances.
  • Support Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable teams with invoice processing and credit management.
  • Work with inventory and procurement teams to ensure proper record keeping for stock items.
  • Contribute to process improvement projects within the department.
  • Monitor daily cash balances and help oversee daily cash flow needs.
  • Assist in maintaining company prepaid expense records, including monthly accruals and adjustments.
  • Assist in the reconciliation of corporate credit statements and manage related expense queries.
  • Help maintain the fixed asset schedule and support fleet management.
  • Support the preparation and filing of sales and corporate tax reports.
  • Ensure compliance with internal and external monthly reporting requirements.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 2-3 years of experience in accounting or a related role
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics Business Central is an asset.
  • Familiarity with ASPE financial reporting is an asset.
  • Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
