POSITION: Junior Accountant
REPORTING TO: Director, Financial Reporting

THE OPPORTUNITY
Our expanding Finance team is seeking a Junior Accountant who is eager to support new business growth while delivering strong results across back-end accounting processes and systems. This role requires a solid working knowledge of GAAP and strong financial analysis skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES
β Responsible for entering vendor invoices accurately and timely across multiple restaurant entities
β Ensure proper coding of invoices to the correct general ledger accounts, locations, and periods
β Ensure invoices are approved in accordance with Company authorization policies
β Prepare and process weekly payment runs, ensuring vendors are paid within agreed payment terms
β Respond to vendor inquiries professionally and promptly
β Reconcile vendor statements and investigate outstanding balances
β Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations and investigate reconciling items
β Review and process employee expense reports for completeness, accuracy, and policy compliance
β Identify and implement improvements to accounting systems, processes, and reporting workflows
β Support the finance team with ad-hoc reporting and special projects
QUALIFICATIONS
β 2+ years of related accounting experience
β University degree in accounting is considered an asset
β Solid experience in full-cycle accounting
β Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with vendors, employees, and internal stakeholders
β Familiarity with Xero and/or hospitality industry experience is an asset
β Strong knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP), business finance, and applicable tax laws
β Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
COMPENSATION
Base salary range: $55,000 - $65,000
LFG Growth Partners advertises the pay range for this role in compliance with British Columbiaβs pay transparency laws. Compensation within the range will be determined by evaluating factors such as job-related skills, education and/or training, and relevant professional experience. The range details above reflect base pay only, and does not include our comprehensive health benefits, and competitive bonus program.
