We are seeking a motivated Junior Accountant to join our close-knit team. You will work alongside experienced professionals, supporting day-to-day accounting functions and tax preparation. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience across a variety of client files while developing your technical skills in a supportive environment.

Duties

• Assist with the preparation of financial statements, working papers, and supporting documentation .
• Prepare personal and corporate tax returns (T1, T2) under the guidance of senior staff.
• Perform account reconciliations, bank reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance .
• Process payroll, GST/PST returns, and other compliance filings.
• Respond to client inquiries and maintain organized client files.
• Support the team with administrative tasks and special projects as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Working towards a CPA designation (or willingness to enroll) is considered a strong asset.
• 0-2 years of experience in a public practice or accounting role; recent graduates are encouraged to apply .
• Basic understanding of Canadian accounting standards and tax regulations.
• Proficiency with accounting software (QuickBooks Online, Sage, or similar) and MS Excel.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and a willingness to learn.
