Job Summary
We are seeking a bright, hardworking, detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join our finance team. This entry-level position offers an excellent opportunity to develop foundational accounting skills within a dynamic corporate environment. The Junior Accountant will assist with various financial tasks, ensuring accuracy and compliance in A/P and A/R functions. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of accounting principles and experience with accounting software, including SAP B1. This role is essential for supporting our financial operations and contributing to the overall health of our organization.

Duties

  • Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate payments and collections
  • Perform account reconciliation and credit card reconciliation to verify financial data accuracy
  • Support bookkeeping activities using accounting software SAP Business One
  • Maintain daily Sales Reconciliation for all retails locations
  • Conduct account analysis to identify discrepancies or irregularities
  • Manage filing of all the records within prescribe guidelines
  • Assist all Sales departments about customer inquiries, checks and balances
  • Collaborate with team members on various financial projects and process improvements
  • Other special projects assigned from time to time

Requirements

  • MUST have college diploma or degree in accounting, business, finance, or a related field
  • Must have 2-3 years of experience in similar role
  • Demonstrated knowledge of clerical accounting and bookkeeping procedures
  • Computer literacy, including MS Word, Excel, Outlook - Knowledge SAP B1 is an asset
  • Excellent organizing abilities
  • Great attention to detail

Skills

  • Exceptional listening skills with the ability to understand and learn from what you are being told and apply that to your role
  • Strong understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bookkeeping procedures
  • Experience with account reconciliation and bank reconciliation processes
  • Punctual, responsible and excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills for effective collaboration within the team
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new accounting tools and processes
  • Follow instructions, stay organized, and meets deadlines.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $50,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
