Role Overview

Looking for a Junior Business Analyst to support business and IT teams by gathering requirements, analyzing data, and helping design effective solutions. You will work closely with stakeholders to understand needs and translate them into clear technical requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Gather, analyze, and document business and system requirements
  • Create process flows, Visio diagrams, and swim lane diagrams
  • Develop use cases, user stories, and acceptance criteria
  • Facilitate workshops, stakeholder interviews, and JAD sessions
  • Act as a bridge between business users, IT teams, and vendors
  • Support process improvements and system enhancements
  • Track requirements using tools like JIRA, Confluence, or Azure DevOps

Must Have Skills

  • Experience in business/data analysis and requirements gathering
  • Strong knowledge of process mapping (Visio, swim lanes)
  • Experience writing user stories and use cases
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience with JIRA, Confluence, or Azure DevOps

Nice to Have

  • Experience in public sector (Ontario or similar)
  • Familiarity with Agile or Waterfall methodologies
  • Knowledge of SQL, Power BI, or Excel
