Summary
We are seeking a Jr or experienced estimator to join our team in Canada. Based in our office, the Estimator will play a vital role in preparing accurate project bids and assisting senior staff in project management.
Responsibilities
· Assist senior estimators in preparing cost estimates and bids for pavement marking projects
· Review tender documents, drawings, and specifications (municipal, provincial, and private)
· Perform quantity take-offs for materials labor, and equipment
· Request and review supplier and subcontractor pricing
· Enter data into estimating software and spreadsheets accurately
· Help prepare bid packages and ensure deadlines are met
· Maintain organized records of estimates, bids, addendums and project files
· Communicate with project managers, suppliers, and field supervisors as required
· Conduct basic site visits when needed to support estimating accuracy
Assistant Project Manager Duties
· Support the Project Manager in planning, coordinating, and executing road marking projects
· Assist with project scheduling, progress tracking, and daily reporting
· Help prepare and manage project documentation (contracts, change orders, RFIs, subcontractor submittals)
· Coordinate with field supervisors, crews, general contractors, and suppliers
· Track project costs, quantities, and budgets
· Help ensure projects meet safety, quality, and regulatory requirements
· Attend project meetings and prepare meeting minutes
· Assist with procurement of materials and services
· Support project closeout activities, including documentation and invoicing
· Conduct site visits as required to monitor progress and resolve issues
- Qualifications
- Experience in construction estimating, preferably within road marking or surface painting industries.
- Strong math skills and attention to detail
· Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office
· Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications
· Strong organizational and time-management skills
· Willingness to learn estimating software and industry standards
· Valid Class 5 BC Driver’s License require
- Excellent analytical skills for accurate cost estimation and market analysis.
- Effective communication skills for collaborating with team members and clients.
- Knowledge of construction processes, safety standards, and industry regulations.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines while maintaining attention to detail.
- A relevant diploma or certification in construction management or estimating is preferred.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
