Role Overview – Junior Financial Analyst
We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Junior Financial Analyst (Contract) to support our deal evaluation and capital raising activities. This role is structured on a per-engagement basis, where the analyst will conduct financial due diligence, modeling, and valuation analysis on private companies undergoing capital raises.
The analyst will play a critical role in helping our firm assess opportunities before presenting them to investors.
Scope of Work (Per Engagement)
For each assigned company, the analyst will be responsible for delivering a complete financial review package, including:
- Financial Modeling
Build or refine 3–5 year financial models / pro formas
Revenue build-up (bottoms-up where possible)
Cost structure analysis (fixed vs. variable)
Scenario analysis (base, upside, downside)
Cash flow and runway assessment - Valuation Analysis
Perform valuation of private companies using:
Comparable company analysis (public & private comps)
Precedent transactions (if applicable)
Discounted Cash Flow (DCF) where relevant
Assess reasonableness of the company’s current raise valuation - Due Diligence Review
Review investor decks, financials, and supporting materials
Identify red flags, inconsistencies, and key risks
Assess scalability and financial viability
Validate key assumptions used in projections - Investment Memo / Summary Output
Deliver a concise 2–4 page investment memo including:
Business model overview (financial lens)
Key drivers and sensitivities
Valuation summary
Risks and concerns
Overall recommendation (Proceed / Caution / Pass)
Deliverables
Each engagement must include:
Fully functional Excel financial model
Valuation summary (Excel)
Written investment memo (2–4 pages)
Optional: Quick call to walk through findings
Ideal Candidate Profile
1–3 years experience in:
Investment banking, private equity, equity research, or corporate finance
Strong financial modeling skills (Excel proficiency required)
Understanding of valuation methodologies
Ability to work quickly under tight timelines (2–5 days per deal)
Strong attention to detail and commercial judgment
Experience reviewing early-stage or growth companies is an asset
Engagement Structure
Work assigned on a deal-by-deal basis
Typical turnaround time: 2–5 business days per company
Clear scope defined at the start of each engagement
Compensation: TBD

*This role provides direct exposure to live capital raises, institutional-quality deal flow, and interaction with senior capital markets professionals.
Job Types: Full-time, Freelance, Internship / Co-op
Contract length: 24 months
Pay: $50,000.00-$150,000.00 per year
