We would like you to join our team as a Junior Full-Stack Developer!

We are building My Viva Plan, an innovative application that helps users manage and track their wellness and productivity goals. Our platform spans both mobile and web, and we are looking for a passionate Junior Developer to join our team and contribute to its growth. In this role, you will focus heavily on the mobile front-end (React Native) experience while still contributing across the stack on web front-end and backend services. You’ll also have the opportunity to work on integrations with third-party healthcare partners and AI-powered features that enhance the user experience and our internal workflows.

Role Overview:

As a Junior Full-Stack Developer with a focus on mobile front-end, you will help design, build, and maintain our React Native mobile application, while also contributing to our web front-end and backend services. You will work closely with senior developers and the product team, gaining hands-on experience in modern front-end and back-end technologies, cloud services, and application deployment. Over time, you may also support AI-related features and system integrations as we expand the capabilities of My Viva Plan.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in developing and maintaining our React Native mobile application, with attention to performance, usability, and consistent user experience.
• Support development of web applications using common front-end frameworks (e.g. React).
• Support backend development with REST APIs and microservices.
• Work with SQL databases to design, query, and maintain application data.
• Utilize cloud services for deployment, storage, and application hosting.
• Collaborate with designers, product managers, and senior developers to implement mobile-first features that also integrate well with the web experience.
• Participate in testing, debugging, and code reviews across both front-end and back-end code.
• Help maintain documentation and follow development best practices.
• Support integrations with third-party APIs and services (e.g., analytics, authentication, communication tools, healthcare data).
• Contribute to experiments and prototypes involving AI-powered features (e.g., personalization, recommendations, or automation) in the mobile and web experience.

Requirements:

• 2+ years of combined professional or significant personal experience building mobile or web applications.
• Some professional or personal experience with React Native (preferred) and/or React or similar front-end frameworks.
• Familiarity with backend development including building REST APIs and microservices.
• Exposure to cloud services (Azure App Service, AWS, etc.).
• Basic knowledge of SQL databases (writing queries, basic schema design).
• Experience using modern version control systems (e.g. Git) and collaborating through pull requests.
• Basic understanding of CI/CD concepts and workflows (build, test, deploy).
• Basic understanding of mobile and web app development principles, including responsive design and performance considerations.
• Interest in learning about AI-assisted features (e.g., recommendation systems, chatbots) or integrating with external APIs and services.
• Willingness to learn and grow in a fast-paced development environment.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative team.

Nice-to-Haves:

• Experience building and shipping React Native apps (personal projects, internships, or production apps).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines or DevOps concepts (e.g. GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or similar tools).
• Understanding of SaaS hosting infrastructure and deployment models (e.g. multi-tenant web apps, containerized services, monitoring, logging).
• Exposure to AI / ML tools or platforms (e.g., using AI APIs, LLMs, or basic data processing).
• Experience working with third-party integrations (OAuth, payment providers, analytics, or health/wellness platforms).

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Salary

$55,000 – $70,000 annual salary, depending on experience and qualifications.
