Inclusive-hiring blockchain startup improving job accessibility.
Full Description
About Enabled Talent
Enabled Talent builds technology that helps employers hire more inclusively and helps professionals with disabilities find meaningful work. We’re a small, growing team focused on building practical tools that remove real barriers in the hiring process. This is a hands-on role where your work will go live and be used by real people.
The Opportunity
We’re building something genuinely new: a blockchain-based credential wallet that lets job seekers with disabilities verify and own their professional credentials (degrees, certifications, and work history) on their own terms. Candidates verify once, share selectively, and never have to prove themselves again to every new employer. It’s a direct response to a real and documented problem: people with disabilities face disproportionate credential scrutiny in hiring, and we’re building the infrastructure to fix that.
As a Full-Stack Developer intern, you’ll work on this feature alongside our core product team. You’ll get exposure to both the blockchain layer and the web platform that surfaces it to users. Real, production work with real impact.
What You'll Do
- Help build and integrate a blockchain-based credential verification system into our hiring platform
- Develop secure, user-controlled data sharing flows so candidates control what employers can see
- Work across frontend and backend to bring new features from design to production
- Implement accessibility best practices throughout all user-facing work
- Fix bugs, improve performance, and contribute to technical debt reduction
- Collaborate with design and product on feature development
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to a healthy engineering culture
What We're Looking For
- 1to 4 years of experience in web development, or strong hands-on project experience
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a post-secondary program (within 3 years of graduation)
- Comfortable with modern web stacks (e.g., React, Next.js, Node.js, APIs)
- Solid fundamentals in JavaScript/TypeScript (or similar)
- Curiosity about blockchain, decentralized identity, or secure data systems (experience not required)
- Willingness to work onsite in Sudbury and collaborate in person
- Someone who takes ownership, asks questions, and gets things done
Nice to Have (Not Required)
- Familiarity with blockchain concepts, Web3, or decentralized identity standards (e.g., DIDs, Verifiable Credentials)
- Experience with cryptographic concepts or secure data handling
- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, etc.)
- Familiarity with accessibility best practices
- Startup or small-team experience
Why Join Enabled Talent
- Work on a technically interesting problem with genuine social impact
- Real ownership: your code ships to production and is used by real people
- Learn how to build and scale a product from the ground up
- Close collaboration with a small, mission-driven team
- Opportunity to develop deep expertise in an emerging area of secure identity tech
Compensation:
Competitive compensation, commensurate with experience
