Join the Ride! Position: Junior Internal Auditor
Department: Internal Audit
Reports to: VP, Internal Audit
About The Role We’re looking for a motivated Junior Internal Auditor to join our Internal Audit team. This entry-level position offers hands-on experience in internal controls, process reviews, and risk management.
Key Responsibilities
- Support internal audits by participating in process walkthroughs, control testing, and fieldwork (including transaction reviews and compliance checks)
- Prepare audit work papers, document findings, and assist with summary memos
- Coordinate with control owners and external auditors on testing requirements
- Identify and document audit issues with recommended improvements
- Communicate findings and discuss remediation plans
- Collaborate with business units across the organization and complete ad hoc projects as assigned
Required What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree (or currently working towards one) in Business Administration, Accounting or a related field.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow work programs accurately
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment
- High commitment to ethics, quality, and confidentiality
Assets
- 1–2 years of relevant experience (auditing, accounting, process mapping, business analysis, or quality control)
- Knowledge of internal auditing principles, risk management, or control frameworks
Compensation Salary Range: $55,000 – $65,000 CAD per year (depending on experience and qualifications)
