Description
The Junior Recruiter will work under the Lead Recruiter to analyze and respond to RFP’s, source candidates for projects and roles, negotiate with contractors and clients, and manage relationships / brand image.

The Walmer Group (“Walmer”) is a boutique consultancy that specializes in IT sector consulting within the Canadian Public Sector.
Role Responsibilities
The recruiter responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Utilizing LinkedIn and other online tools to source viable candidates that meet specific criteria as required by clients of Walmer

Communicating with potential candidates about role details and representing the brand in an appropriate way as to build long term connections with potential contractors

Negotiating rates with contractors and highlight the benefits of working with Walmer to potential candidates

Collecting information such as resumes and contact details of candidates and keeping this information up to date such that they can be properly communicated with for future roles

Generating search terms and utilizing critical thinking and reasoning skills to optimize their outreach process such that candidates are efficiently sourced

Managing and building relationships with partners of Walmer including both corporate clients and individual candidates

Responding to candidates with updates regarding their roles and work with Walmer

Reach out to past candidates when new, appropriate work becomes available

Recognizing opportunities to reach out to historic contacts for new opportunities

Being an agile and dynamic team member who works well in a small corporate environment and is available to communicate with clients at various hours of the day
Day Profile
Working at Walmer is dynamic, flexible, and extremely fulfilling. You are given extreme levels of responsibility, and thus accountability. We expect you to be available during business hours (9am-5pm) however given the nature of the work you may be required to respond to urgent candidate or client messages, emails, or requests at any time of day.

- Experience with recruiting using tools such as LinkedIn Recruiter
- Experience evaluating resumes
Industry Knowledge (20%)
- In-depth knowledge of IT roles, technologies, organizational structures, and IT teams.
- Knowledgeable about the various roles that comprise business projects, specifically IT projects. (E.G. Business Analysts, Project Managers, DevOps roles, Technology Architects
- Knowledge about the public sector procurement process
- Experience analyzing and responding to RFPs, RQQs, RFSs, etc. (RFxs)
Tools (10%)
- Strong MS Office Suite skills, specifically Word, and Excel
- Adobe Acrobat experience
- SharePoint / OneDrive experience
Compensation:
- Salary
- Commission on placements (uncapped)

Contract length: 12 months
Pay: $35,100.00-$48,750.00 per year
