About the Role

PCTECH is a long-established IT services company supporting small and mid-sized businesses. We are hiring a Junior IT Support Technician for candidates early in their IT career. This role offers hands-on field experience with guidance and mentoring from senior technicians.

Note: Frequent travel across the Lower Mainland is required. Candidates must have a dedicated personal car and reside locally or within reasonable commuting distance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide onsite and in-shop technical support
  • Troubleshoot Windows PCs, software, and peripherals (Mac experience is an asset but not required)
  • Assist with malware removal, system setups, and upgrades
  • Support Microsoft 365, email, and internet issues
  • Install and replace PCs, printers, network equipment, and Wi-Fi devices
  • Document work in service reports
  • Perform tasks primarily during business hours, with occasional evening or urgent support as needed

Requirements

  • IT diploma, A+ certification, or 6–12 months of hands-on IT experience
  • Basic knowledge of Windows, Office applications, and networking concepts
  • Comfortable interacting with clients and following procedures
  • Valid BC driver’s license
  • Dedicated personal car required for daily work travel
