Junior NLP Engineer - Conversational AI

What you'll do

• Design and ship transformer-based document understanding models (layout-aware, multi-modal)
• Improve named entity recognition (NER) and relation extraction across legal and medical domains
• Own model evaluation pipelines — precision/recall dashboards, error taxonomies, regression suites
• Partner with ML Infra to reduce p99 inference latency without quality degradation
• Mentor mid-level engineers and lead weekly paper-reading sessions

What we're looking for

• 1-2 years of NLP engineering experience, with shipped production models
• Deep familiarity with HuggingFace ecosystem, PyTorch, and transformer fine-tuning
• Experience with document layout models (LayoutLM, Donut, or similar) is a strong plus
• Strong Python; comfortable with distributed training on multi-GPU clusters
• Publications or open-source contributions to NLP research preferred

Pay: $60,000.00-$100,000.00 per year
