Full Description
We are looking for an energetic and enthusiastic individual to join our Finance team as a Junior Project Accountant.
This is a finance role designed to support Project Managers through the life of a project, where attention to detail and accuracy are essential. The Junior Project Accountant will support billing processes, assist with cost tracking, and maintain accurate financial records.
The ideal candidate will have excellent verbal and written communication skills, very good organizational skills, and ability to multi-task in a busy office.
This full-time position offers a hybrid work schedule with a minimum requirement of four days in the office. Working hours are Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. β 6:00 p.m. with summer hours and holiday closure.

The salary range for this role is $60,000.00 to $75,000.00.

Key Responsibilities
- Project Accounting
- Set-up and maintenance of projects
- Timely and accurate monthly billing of projects
- Reviewing and analyzing projects reports
- Processing monthly disbursement invoices
- Managing sub-consultants on the project
- Tracking consultant costs against budgets
- Reconciling and processing consultant invoices
- Ensuring consultants are paid in a timely manner using pay when paid method
- Project analysis
- Assisting Project Architects with the development of project budgets
- Ensuring consistency with firms accounting policies and procedures
- Other ad hoc projects and reports, as they come up
Qualifications
- Bachelorβs degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline
- Some project accounting experience in a professional services firm β architecture or design firm preferred
- Advanced proficiency with MS Excel
- Experience with BST Global is an asset
- Highly organized, detail-oriented self-starter with ability to prioritize
- Collaborative and professional work ethic
- Ability to work independently and in team setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
