Job Title: Junior Project Coordinator

Position: Full-Time

Direct Supervisor: Owner/Project Manager

Travel Required: Occasional

Location: London, Ontario

Salary Range: $55,000 - $65,000

Description:

The Junior Project Coordinator supports the planning, coordination, and design preparation for residential construction projects throughout London, Ontario and the surrounding area.

This role plays an important part in maintaining project organization while also assisting with design coordination and client selections. The position will support the preparation of detailed design drawings, layouts, and project documentation used for construction coordination and client presentations.

The role is ideal for an early-career professional with a background in interior design, architectural technology, or a related design discipline who enjoys helping guide projects from design selections through to construction completion. The successful candidate will thrive in a structured environment, enjoy working with clients and suppliers, and take pride in helping projects progress smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with preparing design drawings, layouts, and presentation materials for residential construction projects
  • Support coordination of interior finishes, design selections, and layout decisions with clients
  • Help organize and maintain project documentation, drawings, selection records, and internal project tracking systems
  • Coordinate meetings with clients at supplier showrooms and project sites
  • Request supplier quotes and assist with ordering finishes and materials
  • Track orders and help ensure materials align with construction schedules and project timelines
  • Assist with coordinating project schedules and milestone tracking
  • Support communication between clients, suppliers, designers, and the construction team
  • Support general office coordination, documentation, and project organization

What We’re Looking For:

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in a design-focused program, such as:
  • Interior Design
  • Architectural Technology / Architectural Technician
  • Architectural Drafting or a similar design-related field
  • 0–3 years of experience in design coordination, drafting, project coordination, or a related role (internships or co-ops considered an asset)
  • Experience preparing design drawings, layouts, or construction coordination drawings
  • Proficiency in design and drafting software such as CAD, Chief Architect, or similar programs
  • Familiarity with project management or industry-related tools such as Buildertrend, Chief Architect Interiors, or Canva is considered an asset
  • Basic understanding of residential construction processes and project coordination
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Professional and confident when interacting with clients, suppliers, and project teams
  • High level of attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities
  • Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented design and construction environment

Working Conditions

Primarily in-office in Downtown London with occasional visits to job sites or supplier showrooms within the London area.
