Due to significant growth and opportunity, we are seeking a Junior Project Manager. This is a new position.

Position Summary

  • Review customer requests, drawings, and estimates for completeness and consistency before releasing projects.
  • Organize and maintain project information, schedules, and milestones.
  • Initiate projects by releasing work to production and issuing purchase orders to vendors.
  • Coordinate design changes and ensure updates are documented with the design department.
  • Support accuracy and quality by coordinating required sign-offs at key stages.
  • Communicate status updates with internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Track labour, materials, vendor progress, and report any variances.
  • Escalate issues to operations or sales when risks or conflicts arise.
  • Coordinate logistics, deliveries, and customer communication during production.
  • Complete project close-out by confirming all materials, labor, and POs are captured.
  • Provide feedback and document lessons learned for continuous improvement.
  • Participate in weekly project status meetings and monthly project management meetings.
  • Engage in health and safety training to support a safe work environment.
  • Seek learning opportunities to gain exposure to all four divisions that make up the organization.

Requirements

  • Post-secondary education in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • 1โ€“2 years of experience in project coordination, production coordination, or a similar role.
  • Ability to read and interpret basic technical drawings and shop drawings.
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes such as wood, metal, finishing, and assembly.
  • Familiarity with quotes, bill of materials (BOMs), and production specifications
  • Experience managing schedules, tasks, and project deliverables.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, ERP, and MRP systems.
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable taking direction.
