POSITION SUMMARY

Reporting to the Manager of Treasury, the Junior Treasury Analyst is responsible for performing various treasury functions, with an emphasis on processing fundings and posting receipts in a timely and accurate manner.

The successful candidate will be a team player with an excellent attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Check all funding requests and supporting documents for accuracy in data entered.
  • Approve all funding requests and release funds from the bank.
  • Review and approve bank account set-ups and banking changes.
  • Deliver real-time information to Franchisees and Account Managers regarding sufficiency and accuracy of the information and documentation provided.
  • Review all supporting documents to ensure funds are sent to the correct recipient and in the requested currency.
  • Communicate and collaborate with Account Managers and Relationship Managers to ensure funding requests above certain limits are approved for purchase prior to releasing.
  • Send out banking confirmations and funding reports to Franchisees as requested.
  • Perform daily reconciliation between outgoing cash and accounting system.
  • Perform ad hoc/ other duties as assigned.
  • Performing calculation to ensure participation changes are reflected accurately.
  • Posting interest monthly on factoring positions.
  • Manage cash fundings across entities (including cross organizational).
  • Managing our Line of Credit via communication with CIBC syndication service.

EXPERIENCE & KEY QUALIFICATIONS

  • College diploma or University degree (preferably Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field)
  • Experience dealing with banks is preferred
  • Minimum 2-3 years of workforce experience; 3+ years is preferred

  • Intermediate to advanced level knowledge of MS Excel
