What you’ll accomplish with us
As a Junior Underwriter, you’ll be at the core of our mission. Here are the main responsibilities:
- Assess the financial risk of Gouvernail groups (groups of up to 50 employees), including establishing pricing and preparing bids for prospective clients, renewals for existing clients, and evaluating pricing impacts following contract modifications.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with a variety of internal and external stakeholders to support effective collaboration and decision-making.
- Prepare accurate and timely underwriting analyses to support business growth and client retention.
- Contribute to ad hoc projects aimed at the continuous improvement of underwriting and pricing processes.
- Collaborate closely with the Underwriting Manager and team to ensure consistency, quality, and efficiency in underwriting practices.

- Is known for their organizational skills, sense of responsibility, ability to prioritize effectively, and service-oriented mindset.
- Stands out for their advanced knowledge of Office tools, particularly Excel, and familiarity with the group insurance market (an asset).
- Demonstrates strong analytical, research, and communication skills, along with autonomy and a commitment to continuous improvement.
- Is recognized for their ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities, work under tight deadlines, and collaborate effectively in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.
- Has One year of relevant experience would be an asset;
- Holds bachelor’s degree in mathematics, business administration, actuarial science, or finance.

The typical hiring range for this position is between 60 636$ and 79 585$ CAD per year; the base salary offered may vary depending on knowledge, skills, years of experience, and internal equity related to the role.
