Full Description

We are seeking a motivated Mechanical Engineer (EIT) to join our Engineering Team. This role is ideal for early‑career engineers, new graduates and students soon graduating. In this role, you will support improvements to existing products, and the execution of engineering projects from concept to completion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Primary responsibility for sustaining engineering on the company’s existing products, liaising with Production and maintaining the MRP system.
  • Ensure product documentation is complete, the bill of materials is correct and work instructions are up to date.
  • Update and optimize product designs using CAD tools for artificial lift applications.
  • Perform engineering calculations, including strength, flow, and performance analyses.
  • Support prototype development, testing, and design iterations.
  • Prepare technical documentation, drawings, and reports to support product releases.
  • Prepare drawings and illustrations to support sales and marketing activities.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering.
  • Eligibility for registration as an Engineer‑in‑Training (EIT) with APEGA.
  • Proficiency with CAD software; SolidWorks strongly preferred.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Recent graduates and applicants completing their degree within the next 6 months are welcome and encouraged to apply.

Preferred Skills & Experience

  • Participation in engineering design competitions (e.g., Formula SAE, SAE Aero Design, International ¼ Scale Tractor).
  • Familiarity with the oil and gas industry, particularly artificial lift systems.
  • Experience with CNC machining or manufacturing processes.
  • Demonstrated hands‑on design experience—recent design project work is highly valued.

Work Environment

  • Based at our Calgary Head Office.
  • Reports directly to the Engineering Manager.
  • Office environment with collaboration across engineering and sales teams.

Pay: From $55,000.00 per year
