Pest Control Technician (Entry-Level)

Job Overview

Sunshine Coast Pest Detective is hiring a full-time Pest Control Technician to join our field team.

This is a structured, hands-on role focused on performing professional pest control services in residential and light commercial environments. You will work within clearly defined procedures, regulatory standards, and company systems.

This is not a sales position. The focus of this role is performing service work correctly, documenting findings accurately, and communicating professionally with customers.

No prior pest control experience is required. We prefer to train the right person properly from the ground up.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine pest control services (monitoring and treatments)
• Inspect structures for pest activity and contributing conditions
• Apply products strictly in accordance with product labels and regulations
• Document services accurately using company software
• Communicate clearly and professionally with customers
• Escalate issues appropriately when outside service scope
• Maintain equipment and service vehicle standards

Requirements

• Valid driver’s licence with clean abstract
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Comfortable working outdoors in varied weather conditions
• Comfortable accessing attics and crawlspaces where safely accessible
• Able to follow established procedures consistently
• Strong communication skills
• Willingness to obtain provincial pesticide applicator licence within 90 days

Employment is conditional upon background screening appropriate for working in private residences.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $22.00-$26.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 45 per week
