Segway Tour Guide & Social Media Coordinator

Job Description

Segway Nova Scotia is hiring an enthusiastic Segway Tour Guide & Marketing Coordinator to join our team in Halifax. This role is tour guiding–focused, with secondary responsibilities supporting social media and marketing initiatives.

You’ll lead guided Segway tours through the city while delivering outstanding customer experiences and assisting with content creation and brand engagement online.

Responsibilities

• Lead guided Segway tours safely and professionally through specific parts of Halifax
• Provide clear Segway safety and operational training to all guests
• Share engaging historical and cultural information during tours
• Manage tour groups from start to finish (1-3hrs)
• Answer customer questions and promote tours to the public
• Handle bookings, payments, cancellations, and refunds

• Maintain a calm, professional demeanor in busy and fast-paced situations

• Assist with content creation for Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok

• Help manage and update social media accounts
• Contribute creative ideas to increase brand visibility

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Marketing, Communications, Tourism, Hospitality, or related program
• Strong communication and public speaking skills
• Comfortable engaging with the public and leading groups
• Interest in social media and digital marketing
• Reliable, organized, and able to work independently and in a team
• Able to work under pressure and maintain a positive attitude
• Must be at least 16 years of age
• Segway or tour guiding experience is an asset (training provided)

Contract length: 6 months

Pay: $18.50 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 45 per week
