About Healthy Minds Psychotherapy

Mental health clinic; growing digital presence

Full Description

Part-Time ยท Student Position (~20 hours/month ยท Remote)

Healthy Minds Psychotherapy is a trauma-informed, diversity-affirming psychotherapy clinic based in Ontario. We are seeking a proactive, creative Digital Communications & Social Media Coordinator to help strengthen our online presence and make mental health content more accessible across Ontario.

This is a part-time student position and an excellent opportunity for someone studying marketing, social work, psychology, therapy, or a related field who wants hands-on experience understanding how a psychotherapy clinic operates. The role blends clinical insight with digital communications, allowing you to apply your mental health knowledge in an ethical and meaningful way.

What Youโ€™ll Do

โ— Plan, create, and publish content for Instagram, TikTok, and LinkedIn โ€” 3 posts per week minimum.

โ— Support basic monthly Google Business Profile updates (posts, hours, services). โ— Update and maintain our Squarespace website (page edits, images, content refreshes). โ— Assist with blog publishing, including formatting, uploads, light editing, tags, and SEO best practices (blogs written by team).

โ— Plan, design, and send monthly newsletters using approved tools and templates. โ— Monitor and engage with comments and messages where appropriate (with guidance). โ— Maintain an organized content calendar and digital asset library.

โ— Collect and document analytics; create a monthly performance report with insights and quick recommendations.

โ— Attend virtual check-in meetings and collaborate closely with the Founder/Clinical Director and Office Manager to ensure accuracy, professionalism, and brand alignment.

Youโ€™ll Thrive in This Role If Youโ€ฆ

โ— Are currently studying (or have recently graduated with) marketing, psychology, social work, therapy, or a related field.

โ— Have a strong interest in mental health advocacy and using digital platforms to reduce stigma and promote well-being.

โ— Bring creativity and social awareness โ€” you keep up with trends and translate them respectfully and ethically for a mental health audience.

โ— Are eager to gain exposure to the inner workings of a psychotherapy clinic and excited to collaborate with the Clinical Director on content development, learning how clinical services are structured, communicated, and delivered within ethical and regulatory standards.

โ— Have experience with:

โ—‹ Squarespace (website edits)

โ—‹ Canva/CapCut (content design and short-form video editing)

โ—‹ Mailchimp or similar newsletter tools

โ—‹ Basic SEO and Google tools (Analytics/Search Console)

โ— Write clean, empathetic copy and understand boundaries when discussing mental health online.

โ— Demonstrate strong organization and accountability with deadlines and approvals. โ— Understand that all content created belongs to the clinic and must align with Canadian regulations and professional standards.

Our Values

We are committed to:

โ— Culturally sensitive and diversity affirming care

โ— Trauma informed communication and storytelling

โ— Evidence informed guidance aligned with Ontario mental health standards โ— Respectful, ethical online engagement that protects client privacy and remains PHIPA and CRPO compliant

Why Join Us?

โ— Flexible hours that support work and school balance

โ— Mentorship and skill development at the intersection of mental health and digital communications

โ— Meaningful exposure to how a psychotherapy clinic operates
