Multicrete Precast Inc. is a leading manufacturer of precast and concrete products serving residential, commercial, and infrastructure projects across Manitoba. Our reputation is built on producing durable, high-quality concrete products while maintaining strict quality control and safety standards.

We are currently seeking two (2) Summer Students – Quality Assurance (QA) to support our quality control and production teams during the summer season.

Position Summary

The Summer Student – Quality Assurance will assist the QA team in monitoring product quality, conducting concrete testing, and supporting documentation of quality control processes. This role provides hands-on experience with concrete materials, manufacturing processes, and quality assurance practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with quality inspections of precast concrete products during production
  • Perform basic concrete testing procedures (slump tests, measurements, visual inspections, etc.)
  • Collect and document sample data and quality test results
  • Support QA staff in identifying product defects or inconsistencies
  • Maintain accurate quality control records and reports
  • Assist with data entry and quality tracking
  • Ensure compliance with company safety standards and quality procedures
  • Maintain a clean and organized testing and work area

Preferred Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a Civil Engineering Technology (CET) program
  • Experience working with concrete or construction materials strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of basic concrete testing methods is considered an asset
  • Strong attention to detail and quality standards
  • Ability to follow technical procedures and safety protocols
  • Comfortable working in a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Basic computer skills for recordkeeping and data entry

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to work in a plant or production environment
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs occasionally
  • Comfortable standing and walking throughout the workday
