Full Description

We’re Hiring: Supply Chain Coordinator (Junior / Entry Level)

Location: Montréal, Québec, Canada

Employment Type: Full-Time

Experience Level: Entry / Junior (1-2 years)

About Us

At Yumi, we’re on a mission to nourish communities with sustainable, organic, wholesome foods. As we continue to grow, we’re looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Supply Chain Coordinator to support inventory planning, purchasing, warehouse coordination, and operational forecasting.

This is an excellent opportunity for a junior professional looking to contribute and build a strong foundation in supply chain within a fast-growing food company.

What You’ll Do

You will play a key role in ensuring smooth end-to-end supply chain operations — from demand planning to warehouse coordination and supplier organization.

Inventory & Planning

  • Monitor and maintain optimal inventory levels across warehouses to prevent stockouts and overstock.
  • Track raw materials, packaging, and finished goods inventory.
  • Develop and maintain inventory planning tools and reports.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly stock analysis reports for management.
  • Draft demand forecasts and supply planning projections based on sales trends, seasonality, and promotional activity.
  • Submit forecast and replenishment plans to management for review and approval.

Purchasing & Supplier Coordination

  • Create and run purchase orders for suppliers and manufacturers.
  • Follow up on order confirmations, production timelines, and delivery schedules.
  • Maintain strong communication with suppliers to ensure timely and accurate fulfillment.
  • Negotiate lead times and support cost optimization initiatives when possible.
  • Track open POs and ensure alignment between supply plans and incoming goods.

Warehouse & Logistics Coordination

  • Coordinate inventory movements between warehouses.
  • Work closely with 3PL partners and internal warehouse teams to ensure accurate stock records.
  • Oversee stock transfers and replenishment planning.
  • Monitor inbound shipments and ensure proper receiving procedures.
  • Identify and resolve inventory discrepancies with warehouse teams.

Financial & ERP Responsibilities

  • Approve supplier, manufactures and warehouses invoices by matching them against purchase orders and receiving documentation before submitting to accounting.
  • Ensure accurate cost entries in the system.
  • Support month-end inventory reconciliation.
  • Maintain and update ERP records (experience with Odoo ERP is a strong asset).

This role is perfect for coordinators with foundational experience who are excited to contribute, innovate, and grow with a mission-driven brand.

What We’re Looking For

  • 1–2 years experience in supply chain, logistics, operations, or purchasing.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, or related field.
  • Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, planning and forecasting).
  • Experience with ERP systems (Odoo is a plus).
  • Highly organized with strong analytical thinking.
  • Bilingual (English & French) preferred.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, growth-stage environment.

Salary & Benefits

Annual Salary Range (Entry/Junior): CA$55,000 (approx.). Opportunities for professional development and growth within our supply chain team.

Why Yumi?

  • Direct exposure to strategic supply chain decision-making.
  • Hands-on ownership of planning and inventory processes.
  • Growth potential into Supply Planner, Procurement Manager, or Operations roles.
  • Work in a mission-driven organic food company scaling nationally.
