Trainee Accountant

Overview
Associates Twitch Interactive is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Trainee Accountant to join our growing finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or an aspiring accountant looking to launch their career in a supportive and dynamic environment. We offer a flexible hybrid work model, allowing you to split your time between our Edmonton office and working remotely.

Responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day bookkeeping tasks, including data entry and maintaining accurate financial records.
• Support the preparation of financial statements, reports, and reconciliations.
• Process accounts payable and receivable transactions.
• Assist with payroll preparation and expense report audits.
• Help with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
• Respond to internal and external accounting inquiries in a timely manner.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all financial regulations and company policies.

Experience

• Recent graduate or currently enrolled in a recognized accounting program (diploma or degree).
• Basic understanding of accounting principles and practices.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel (spreadsheets, formulas) and experience with accounting software is an asset.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting and collaboratively in the office.
• Eagerness to learn and grow within the company.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $25.14-$30.24 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week
