Accounts Payable Intern

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Accounts Payable, the Accounts Payable Intern is responsible for the maintenance of the vendor accounts; ensuring the validity of all charges to the company; and making sure all payments are trusted and accurate. This position is part of the Finance Department located in London, ON and will be a hybrid position.

In this role, a typical day will look like:

• Process invoices against vendor accounts
• Analyze invoices and expenses for accuracy, and charge to proper cost centers
• Complete payments to vendors
• Reconcile vendor statements to internal reports
• Participate in regular reporting to increase process efficiency
• Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities

The essential requirements of the job include:

• 2 or more years of demonstrated accounts payable experience an advantage (not a requirement)
• Proficiency in MS-Office products, specifically Outlook and Excel

It would be a plus if you also possess the following:

• College diploma in accounting or business administration preferable (or working toward)
• Problem solving, and organization skills; Working independently and within a team
