The South Okanagan Women in Need Society (SOWINS) is seeking a part-time Bookkeeper to join the administrative team.
ABOUT THE ROLE: The Bookkeepersupports a variety of day-to dayfinancial transactions, including accounts receivable and accounts payableusingQuickbooksaccounting software. TheBookkeeper may also provide supporttopayrollprocessing,as needed.The Bookkeeper creates financial reports, andmaintainsavariety of financial and other records,filesand related filing systems.
Schedule: This position is scheduled to work 21 hours per week, working Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday (9:00 am – 4:30 pm).
Union: This position requires union membership, under Health Sciences Association (HSA).
Wage: HSA Grid 10 ($25.95 – $29.76)
Benefits: Provided in accordance with the terms of the Collective Agreement.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Grade 12,plus related post-secondary coursesof up to 2 yearsincludingbookkeeping,andbasic accounting. Experience with QuickBooks is considered an asset.
- Two (2)yearsrecent related experienceas a bookkeeperin a non-profit organization.
- Valid Class 5 Drivers License and access to a reliable vehicle with appropriate 3rd Party Insurance.
Or an equivalent combination of education,trainingand experience.
