Our Company
We sell the best piece of cat furniture ever designed. It is made with premium materials to be a cat tree that accommodates multiple cats of all sizes, and is aesthetically pleasing for homeowners. See more at ‘katpole.com’.
We are a company of two full-time founders (and some part time teammates), which means you will be our third full-time team member. You will work on many areas of our marketing, according to your strengths and interests.
Key Responsibilities
Content & Creative:
Produce short-form videos from our footage for ads/organic, execute simple Photoshop/Canva designs, and (optionally) film original UGC content with a free cat tree we send you.
Community & Social:
Manage our social media accounts, and build out our Pinterest page from scratch for SEO and brand awareness.
Copywriting & SEO:
Write engaging, human-crafted articles about cats and interior design to drive organic traffic (you must be a better writer than ChatGPT).
Digital PR:
Contact journalists and bloggers to get them to write about us.
Compensation
$25 CAD at 40 hours a week ($1000 a week).
Required Skills
- Video and photo editing experience (or an intense desire to learn).
- Fluent English speaker with university level writing skills.
- You love cats.
Post-Secondary and Residency Requirement
You MUST be currently enrolled in a post-secondary institution (not a recent grad), in a field that is somehow related to business or the arts.
Must be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred.
Timeline
10 Weeks in June - August 2026. We are flexible on start and end dates.
